After graduating from college in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in youth ministry, Joshua moved from Georgia to Anchorage, Alaska, wanting to be near mountains and to do student ministry. He started his time in Anchorage working at Grace Christian School where he taught computer science. In 2020, he was called to begin his career in full-time vocational youth ministry and began his journey serving at True North Church in east Anchorage.
Sarah was called to Alaska from Washington in 2019 to do children’s and youth ministry in Anchorage. Josh and Sarah met doing park evangelism in the middle of the city. They became best friends, fell in love (although some claim they fell in love at first sight), and got married in April of 2022. They have been doing youth ministry together ever since with the hope that every student would be loved, valued, and discipled. In September of 2024, they were blessed with their first son, Anders.
